Majestic Hotel
I first discovered Hotel Majestic Saigon in 2009 when I was in Ho Chi Minh City on business and now that I live here I can’t resist a poolside room for a weekend on the odd occasion. I love the history of this Hotel and if you take a walk around the ground floor, Foyer and Coffee Shop you will see many photographs dating back to the Hotel’s beginnings in 1925. It is also worth noting that most Hotels will have a Tourism Desk where you can pick up brochures or book a Tour.

Hotel Continental
Dong Khoi area in District 1 is home to many 4 and 5 Star Hotels such as Hotel Majestic Saigon, Hotel Continental, Duxton hotel Saigon, The Caravelle Hotel, Oscar Saigon Hotel, New World Hotel, The Rex Hotel, Sheraton Saigon Hotel and the Renaissance Saigon Riverside Hotel. Also in close walking distance is the Sofitel Saigon Plaza Hotel.

Dat Huy Mini Hotel
Use the search button to find a Hotel here too. You can find 2 to 5 Star all through District 1 but if you are looking for a low-cost budget hotel in the hustle bustle of Ho Chi Minh City’s streets you need to be in the Pham Ngu Lao – Bui Vien area.
Pham Ngu Lao and Bui Vien are streets that run parallel to each other and border a maze of tiny streets packed with Mini Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and much more. This area offers rooms from $12. Most are clean, some are not. These rooms are great for budget travelling but many tourists choose to stay in Pham Ngu Lao because it is in the heart of the Night Club and Bar area. No matter where you stay in Ho Chi Minh City, you really must take a walk down Bui Vien Street after dark and stay for dinner and a beer. This is Ho Chi Minh City.
